What a riveting read! It was difficult to close the book at night, I just had to know what was going to happen next. The book provides an in-depth personal inside view of Dashaun’s life, which most, would keep private. He takes us through his hardships and what he went through to overcome the obstacles life constantly throws his way. An excellent read, especially for black youth/men who feel lost or defeated. Never give up on your dreams, even though it may be tough, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.
